An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Panzer V Panther medium tank in the Ausf.G version in 1:35 scale. The model captures the later variant of the Panther with additional armor plates fitted to the turret roof and over part of the engine deck, which were meant to improve protection against fire and splinters from attacking aircraft. Check the actual package contents, the number of parts and the marking options against the manufacturer's information.
The Panther was among the most capable German medium tanks of the Second World War. The Ausf.G version was the most numerously produced variant, with a revised shape of the hull and the side plates. The machine was powered by a Maybach gasoline engine and the main armament was a long 75 mm gun with high penetrating power. The additional armor on the turret roof was a response to the growing threat to tanks from air attack in the closing stages of the war.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and assemble the running gear, the road wheels and any interior before you close the hull. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush covers it ideally. Once the basic camouflage is on, bring out the details with a wash and add mud and dust effects with pigments for faithful weathering of late-war service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
