About product

Anti-tank hedgehog (concrete) 1:35, a resin accessory (Firma49)

This is a resin diorama accessory, not a kit of a vehicle. The model faithfully captures the concrete variant of the Czech hedgehog, a static obstacle formed by crossed beams. The accessory is made by resin 3D printing at the Czech maker Firma49 and serves to bring dioramas and vignettes on military themes to life.

The real subject

Anti-tank hedgehogs were among the most widespread static obstacles of the Second World War. The concrete variant appeared, among other places, in the Czechoslovak fortifications, in both perimeter and interval barriers. The structure of three crossed arms kept armored vehicles from passing and was easy to move and to add to linear barriers.

Use and painting

  • Wash the parts with lukewarm water and dish soap and cut off any support blocks
  • Glue them with cyanoacrylate
  • A concrete surface comes out well with a gray primer, a dry brush and pigments for a deposit of dust and mud
  • Ideal as a repeating element in linear barriers on a diorama

Who the accessory is for

For builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale who want to add an authentic period obstacle to a scene.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as resin parts. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package.
