An injection molded plastic kit of the early German light tank Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.a1 in 1:35 scale from the IBG models brand. This is a new tooling with a high level of detail: the package contains photo-etched parts, clear parts, decals and individual track links. The model captures the early pre-production version of the Panzer II.
At the beginning of the Second World War the Pz.Kpfw.II was one of the main German light tanks. The early Ausf.a1 version was among the first forms and was powered by a Maybach engine; the armament consisted of a 20 mm KwK 30 cannon and an MG 34 machine gun. The Panzer II played a marked part in the first campaigns and was the backbone of the fast armored units until stronger types replaced it.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the fine photo-etched elements with super glue. Devote attention to the assembly of the running gear and of the individual track links. Airbrush coating is suitable, with washes and pigments to follow for suggesting dust and mud; restrained weathering will bring early equipment to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
