Tiger I Ausf. E late production with Zimmerit 1:35 from Trumpeter is a detailed plastic kit of the famous German heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extensive injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale captures the German Tiger I heavy tank in its late production version. The model carries the distinctive texture of Zimmerit, the protective anti-magnetic coating, and the package holds two flat preformed Zimmerit parts as well as individual track links. Trumpeter is a Chinese manufacturer known for richly broken-down kits with a large number of parts, and this one is among the more demanding.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank fielded from 1942, armed with the feared 88 mm gun and protected by thick armor. The late production version differed from the earlier ones in, among other things, all-steel road wheels and further production simplifications. Zimmerit, a paste applied to the vertical surfaces, was meant to keep magnetic mines from sticking.
First assemble the running gear and the tracks carefully, as they are harder to reach once the model is finished. Given the number of parts, work through the instructions section by section. Join the plastic with liquid cement and sand the seams. Lay down a primer, spray the main shade with an airbrush and bring the Zimmerit texture and the armor to life with washes, filters and dust or mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
