A set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for a model of the French R35 light tank. Thin metal replaces the places where a plastic part is too thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
The R35 is a French light tank of the second half of the 1930s, intended to accompany infantry. It was small and slow, but decently armored for its time. The crew consisted of two men: the driver and the commander, who worked the turret, loaded and commanded all at once. A great many were built, and after 1940 a large part of the captured vehicles appeared in service with new crews, often converted for other duties.
The set holds parts etched from thin metal sheet. An etched part can have a thickness matching the scale, which with injection-molded plastic cannot be achieved because of rigidity. On a vehicle that shows above all on the sheet metal parts: the fenders, covers, cooling grilles, tool clamps and loops. The extent of the parts and their location on the model are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting, and level the remains of the tab with a fine file. Make the folds in the marked groove over a straight edge or in a bender, always in one movement. You will join metal with super glue, and on larger areas with epoxy; cement for polystyrene does not hold on it. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal and apply a base coat, otherwise the finish will rub off the edges during handling.
The model of the vehicle, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
