This set from the Plusmodel brand equips a model of the American light off-road car with radio equipment. It serves as an accessory to a part-built or finished kit; by itself it forms no vehicle.
In the Second World War this type of vehicle served far from only for carrying people. In the signals role it became a mobile workplace: boxes of equipment behind the seats, bundles of cabling and conspicuous antenna leads, which told the vehicle apart from an ordinary one at first glance. It is precisely these elements that move a finished model from a general illustration to a view that tells something. A forward artillery observer, a staff runner or an observation post at the edge of a village are scenes that a vehicle equipped like this fits.
Try the layout of the parts dry while the space behind the seats is still accessible. Once fixed, working in it is miserable. The equipment boxes come into their own when a darker emphasis is laid into the hollows over the base shade and the edges are, on the contrary, lightened finely by drybrushing. Leave the antenna leads to the very end of the build, otherwise you will bend them during further handling. If you are planning an open vehicle without a canvas, give attention also to how the equipment is attached, because on the finished model the interior will be clearly visible.
