Metal tracks from Friulmodel for the Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO): individual white metal links as a realistic replacement for plastic tracks in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of metal tracks from Friulmodel for the German tracked tractor Raupenschlepper Ost, RSO for short. It is not a model but an accessory for your kit: individual track links cast in white metal, which replace the plastic tracks from the box and give the running gear the weight and the look of real metal.
The Raupenschlepper Ost was a light fully tracked tractor developed for service on the Eastern Front, where it was to cope with mud and snow better than wheeled vehicles. It served mainly to tow guns and to carry supplies. Its small linked tracks are characteristic of the vehicle, and the metal set captures them faithfully.
The links are cast in soft white metal. Before assembly you clean up the small flash with a file, connect the parts with the enclosed wire as a pin and get a fully workable track with a natural sag. The metal can be chemically blackened and weathered without conventional painting. We suggest cyanoacrylate glue.
The tracks are an accessory for a model and are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
