Hasegawa 1:48 Nakajima C6N1 Saiun (Myrt) Prototype is an injected plastic kit of the Japanese carrier reconnaissance aircraft complemented by resin parts for the prototype execution.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:48 scale by Hasegawa represents the Japanese Nakajima C6N1 Saiun carrier reconnaissance aircraft in its prototype execution. To make it possible to build the prototype, the manufacturer added resin parts and new decals, among other things a different nose, a different engine cowling and a propeller. It is a combination of injected plastic and resin.
The Nakajima C6N1 Saiun (Allied code name Myrt) was a fast and well-maneuvering carrier reconnaissance aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy from the end of the Second World War. It stood out for its high speed and long range, which made it hard to intercept. The prototypes differed from the production machines in details of the nose, the powerplant and the tail surfaces.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts and cut the casting blocks away, then bond them with super glue. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals and unify the surface with a matte varnish afterwards. The combination of plastic and resin puts the set rather among the more demanding projects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
