The FAL rifle in the Rhodesian conception, 1:35 scale, aims at scenes from southern Africa of the nineteen sixties and seventies.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four pieces of small armament for 1:35 scale. The name of the item uses a colloquial designation referring to Rhodesia. The exact modifications against the base form are not described in it, so they are not stated here.
The self-loading rifle of the FAL type was ordinary equipment in the southern part of the African continent in the nineteen sixties and seventies, and local users adapted it to the conditions and to the way it was deployed. For a modeler this is an interesting setting, because it differs from European scenes in absolutely everything: a different landscape, different clothing on the figures and a different coloring of the equipment. Small armament with the same type base but a different name helps to set such a scene apart at first glance.
In a dry environment equipment fades and gets dusty quickly, which it pays to carry over onto the weapon as well. Avoid saturated tones and work rather with a faded base and with a very fine layer of light dust in the recesses. Unify the slings with the rest of the equipment of the figures, so that the scene holds together; an inconsistent shade of a sling tends to be the first thing a viewer notices on a figure. It also pays to subdue the gloss, because in the sharp African light it would reflect too much.
