This civilian modeling figure in 1:35 scale captures a bus driver of the national carrier CSAD in 1975. It is a resin, or in some cases 3D-printed, figure to be assembled, cleaned up and painted by hand. It will fittingly complete a diorama with a period bus or a setting at a bus station of the 1970s.
CSAD, the Czechoslovak state road transport company, provided both long-distance and local bus services in the period of socialist Czechoslovakia. The drivers wore a characteristic working outfit with a shirt and a cap. A driver figure in 1:35 scale is an ideal way of bringing a scene with a period bus to life and it adds a human dimension to the setting.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks or the print supports and sand down the parting lines. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once a base coat of primer has been applied, paint the clothing and the face with acrylic or oil paints; shading and a dry brush will bring out the folds of the shirt and the features of the figure.
