A track made up of individual links replaces the track supplied in the kit, whether that is a soft one-piece track or a split plastic part. The advantage is twofold: a linked track can genuinely be given the sag over the rollers that it has on the real vehicle, and its surface carries detail on the inner side as well, which a molded track usually neglects. The RMSH designation refers to a type of Soviet track; this set captures its early configuration.
The set is intended for models of the T-55, T-62 and T-72 in 1:35 scale. The track is workable, which means that the links join together and the finished track keeps its flexibility until you fix it with paint or glue. The number of links and the recommended joining sequence are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
The parts made by 3D printing are held on print supports. Cut those off with a sharp blade a little away from the link and sand the rest carefully, so that you do not shorten the part itself. The material is not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models will not take; use super glue. Before painting, wash and degrease the links and apply a base coat, otherwise the shade rubs off the edges while you are still assembling the track.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
