The Voroshilovets Soviet heavy artillery tractor 1:35 (Trumpeter) is a plastic kit of the tracked tractor that towed heavy guns and tanks in the Red Army.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet heavy tracked tractor Voroshilovets in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The box holds parts on several sprues, clear plastic for the glazing, individual track links, photo-etched parts for the fine detail and a small decal sheet. The model builds into a faithful replica of the towing machine with its open cargo bed and the canopy over the crew cab.
The Voroshilovets was developed from the mid 1930s in Kharkiv as a powerful tractor for heavy guns of roughly 152 to 305 mm caliber and for towing tanks. It was powered by the V-2 diesel engine, the same power unit used by the BT-7M and T-34 tanks. Thanks to its tracked running gear and its high output it could move a gun, its crew and its ammunition even over difficult ground and through mud. Some of the machines were captured and used by the Wehrmacht as well.
On a tracked tractor, assemble and glue the running gear and the individual track links first, and only then close up the superstructure and the cab. Use a liquid cement for plastic models, spray a primer as a base and apply the shades preferably with an airbrush. Dust, mud and streaks of dirt on the lower hull are brought out with dark washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
