The Russian ZIS-5B Truck plastic kit from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale, the Soviet truck that was a workhorse of the Red Army.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The box represents the Soviet ZIS-5B truck, one of the most widespread vehicles of the Red Army in the Second World War. Besides the plastic parts, the set also contains photo-etched parts, decals and rubber (vinyl) tires.
The ZIS-5 was a two-axle (4x2) truck built by the Moscow ZIS factory from 1933. It became known for its simplicity, its durability and its undemanding engine, which tolerated even poor fuel. The ZIS-5B variant was a simplified wartime version. The ZIS chassis carried ambulances, workshops, cranes and weapon carriers, and the truck was one of the backbones of Soviet logistics.
Start with the frame, the engine and the chassis, and only then move on to the body and the cargo bed. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and a primer on the photo-etched parts. For a faithful look choose Soviet protective green, bring out the weathering with washes and add mud and dust pigments on the chassis and the tires. Clean the vinyl tires before painting and apply a suitable primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
