1:35 SADA NAŘADÍ - MODERNÍ

What the set is for

Tools are the small thing on a diorama that decides how believable the whole comes across. An empty cargo bed or a bare corner of a workshop looks like a scene nobody has stepped into yet; add a few tools, though, and the viewer works out that somebody was at work here and left. That is exactly why tool sets are bought separately, independent of which machine forms the center of the scene.

What the set offers

Tool miniatures in 1:35 scale in present-day form. The word modern sets the set apart from tools of earlier periods, whose shapes and workmanship differ from today's. The exact make-up of the set, that is which pieces and how many of them it holds, is given by the manufacturer on the box. The parts suit the cargo bed of a vehicle, figures, a workshop and a repair or engineer scene; scattered around a machine they look more natural than lined up in a row.

Building and painting tips

• work over a tray, because a tiny part in this scale is hard to find
• If the parts are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate glue laid on in a small amount will join them
• cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder back
• wash and degrease the parts before painting, so that the paint holds
• set the metal parts and the handles apart in color, otherwise the tools merge into one mass
• leave the edges and the surfaces that are held in the hand lighter and glossier than the rest

Terms of supply
