A resin detail set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It represents improvised sandbag armor for American M4A3 Sherman tanks with HVSS suspension (horizontal volute spring suspension). It is an accessory to be fitted to the base kit, not a model of the tank. The exact contents of the package are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The M4A3 Sherman with HVSS suspension and wider tracks was among the late and most capable variants of the Sherman of the Second World War. Crews often strengthened their protection on their own account, with sandbags on the front of the hull and on the turret as an added defense against anti-tank rockets and shaped-charge munitions.
Wash the parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection; glue them with super glue. Put a primer on and paint with an airbrush. A dry brush, dust pigments and earthy washes will bring the texture of the bags out.
This is a resin accessory, not a model of the vehicle in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
