This is a resin detail set, not a model. It contains a casting of the engine deck with the canvas cover fitted, with folds and tensioning details, for the German half-track artillery tractor Sd.Kfz 7. The set replaces the corresponding plastic part and offers the variant of the vehicle with a covered engine compartment. In shape it is matched to the kit of this tractor from Trumpeter.
The Sd.Kfz 7 was a medium German half-track tractor with a load capacity of around 8 tons, used above all to tow artillery including 8.8 cm guns and to carry their crews. It served on every front of the Second World War and existed in several versions.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block away and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit on the hull before you fit it. Bring the canvas out with a dry brush and light shades, and deepen the folds with a dark wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
