The second set of decals with the signs of shop fronts in 1:35 scale. It follows on from set A and is intended for places where one sheet is not enough, that is for a longer street frontage or for a scene with several businesses side by side. It is not a kit of a house but graphics that are applied to a finished facade.
A continuous row of houses has a problem of its own: as soon as the same sign is repeated in it, the illusion collapses. A real street lives on the fact that different trades, different sizes of board and different ages of lettering meet side by side. That is precisely why Matho Models issues the signs in sets that can be combined. A practical procedure is to lay all the sheets out side by side, only then decide which house gets which sign and watch that two neighboring fronts do not have similar colors or a similar length of text.
The strongest effect comes when the signs in one street do not age in the same way. Leave one almost new, clean and saturated, go over the second after application with a weak light filter so that it fades, and on the third gently scrape part of the surface away or interrupt it with scuffing. The viewer reads the difference in wear between neighboring houses as the passing of time without looking for it. In every case the same rule applies: seat the decal onto a gloss base, matte it once dry and blend it with its surroundings using dust.
An accessory for building dioramas, not a kit. The building, clear coat and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
