The characteristic tall boxy turret with its large-caliber howitzer makes this model an imposing piece that stands out in any display case and on a diorama.
The KV-2 was a Soviet heavy tank of the early Second World War, armed with a large-caliber howitzer set in a tall, massive turret. It was created to destroy fortifications and heavy obstacles, and its size and armor made a menacing impression on the enemy. Its tall silhouette and weight, however, also brought a number of operating troubles, yet it became one of the most conspicuous armored vehicles of the early stage of the war.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close up the hull. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. For painting use an airbrush and a base coat; the Soviet green comes to life with shading across the panels, washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects. The large flat areas of the turret are a rewarding place to practice weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
