A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Soviet T-62 tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-62 is a Soviet tank that followed on from the earlier T-55 and in the 1960s became one of the main types in Soviet armored units. What sets it apart from its predecessor is a longer hull, a larger turret and above all a smoothbore gun, which the T-62 received as one of the first production tanks of any kind. In the rear wall of the turret there is a conspicuous hatch through which the vehicle itself threw spent cases out.
A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model in 1:35 scale. On armored vehicles thin sheet metal comes into its own mainly on the fenders, the grilles over the engine, the tool holders, the loops and the small fittings, that is anywhere a plastic part comes out disproportionately thick and coarse. The extent of the fret and which kit it is intended for are to be found in the enclosed instructions.
First think through the order of the work: fit the parts that lie under others first. Fenders and other long strips call for a straight fold, so reach for a bender or for the edge of a steel rule and make the fold in one pull. On a folded fender it pays to try the shape dry on the model while it can still be adjusted. Wash, degrease and prime the metal with a base color intended for metal before painting, otherwise the finish rubs off during further weathering.
The kit of the tank, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
