A plastic kit of the SS-1 Scud-A in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter: the Soviet short-range ballistic missile on its mobile launch vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet short-range ballistic missile SS-1 Scud-A on its mobile launch vehicle, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set combines the missile itself with the mobile launcher, so the result is a complete model of the missile and the vehicle that carried it. Separate parts for the running gear, the launch stand and the missile are included, along with decals and clear instructions.
The Scud-A was the first operational type of the famous family of Soviet ballistic missiles that carried the NATO reporting name Scud. It entered service at the end of the 1950s and laid the foundation for a series of further, more capable versions. The missile was brought to its firing position by a mobile launch vehicle, which allowed both movement and launching from the field; the system thus became a typical element of the Soviet missile forces of the Cold War era.
Assemble the running gear and the launch mechanism first, and only then fit the missile and the superstructure. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and clean up the mating surfaces. Paint the surfaces with an airbrush after spraying a base primer; a panel wash will pick out the engraved detail, and mud or dust effects with pigments will give the vehicle a realistic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
