A stowage box for the Jagdpanther G2, 1:35, a box for the tools and personal belongings of the crew for the late series of the German tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
A box for the tools and personal kit of the crew for a model of the Jagdpanther tank destroyer in the late production form designated G2, 1:35 scale. The accessory is glued to the hull of a finished model.
The Jagdpanther was created on the chassis of the Panther tank and in a fixed casemate it carried the Pak 43 anti-tank gun with a barrel 71 calibers long, a weapon that at ordinary combat ranges punched through practically every Allied tank. Substantially fewer were built than of the basic Panthers and it first went into action in 1944, on the western and the eastern fronts alike. Collectors distinguish an early and a late production form; the late one took over features of the Panther Ausf. G chassis, so it differs in the layout of the engine deck, the exhausts and the small superstructures on the hull. Among them is the stowage of boxes for the crew, whose arrangement changed during production.
Before you glue the box on, level its mating surface to the slope of the armor, which with the sloped sides of the Jagdpanther tends to be necessary. It makes the best impression when you paint it separately and fit it only after the main camouflage; the lid will then take a differently worn surface from the rest of the vehicle. Scuffs on the edges and rust at the hinges will give the box age and set it apart from the rest of the hull.
