Responsibility details are not available.
Signal Blue is a saturated medium blue listed in the European RAL standard of shades under the number 5005. The RAL standard describes the shades of industrial and utility finishes, so you will come across this number on machines, equipment, structures and utility vehicles in their factory form. For a modeler that is an advantage: if the real subject has its shade given by RAL, you get a tone you do not have to mix or guess from a photograph. The shade is also a good base when you want to mix a more saturated or a lighter blue yourself.
Stir the contents of the bottle well before use, as settled pigment will otherwise shift the shade. The thinner made for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow those instructions. Saturated blue shades tend to cover less well, so lay them over a light base and rather in several thin coats than in one heavy one. Let the surface set between coats.
Before you reach for masking tape, let the coat cure thoroughly, as a soft coat will lift with the tape. Even the surface out with a gloss clear coat under the decals; on a flat base a white haze forms under a decal. A saturated blue easily overwhelms subtle shading, so keep toning and washes on the restrained side.
The model, the thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
