A set of tracks for the T-34 tank with the V-shaped pattern, 500 mm wide, the 1942 rendition in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer PANZER ART.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cast replacement for the tracks of kits of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. The tread pattern in the shape of the letter V belongs among the best known distinguishing marks of this machine and its form changed several times during the war. This item corresponds to the rendition from 1942, which the manufacturer distinguishes in its numbered series from the earlier as well as the later design.
The wide tracks were one of the design advantages of the T-34 thanks to which the machine could move in mud and in snow where other tanks bogged down. Spreading the weight over a large area lowered the ground pressure and the oblique cleats of the pattern bit into a soft surface. The appearance of the links differed at the same time according to the plant and according to the period of production, so a pair of tanks from different years looks different on the running gear.
Rinse the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting remains off and polish the surface with a fine abrasive. Join them with cyanoacrylate glue in shorter stretches and lay the finished run directly onto the built-up running gear while the glue has not set, so that a natural bend arises between the return rollers. Begin the painting with a dark brownish gray base, and then polish the contact surfaces with graphite.
Count on this being an accessory to a kit already obtained.
