A set of precisely cast workable white metal tracks in 1:35 scale for the Soviet T-54, T-55 and T-62 tanks, which share this type of track. It is not a model or a kit of the whole tank but a detail accessory replacing the plastic tracks from the boxed kit. Each link is a separate metal casting and once assembled the whole track moves freely.
Workable metal tracks give the running gear realistic weight and allow the natural sag of the track between the road wheels and the return rollers, which cannot be imitated faithfully with rigid plastic parts.
Clean the links of casting residue, link them together with cut wire as a pin and assemble a continuous track. Join the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A metal surface holds paint and pigments well; we recommend a primer and then washes and pigments for the effect of mud and wear.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of the vehicle. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
