A Hauler 1:35 photo-etched set for the T17E1 Staghound Mk.I armored car is an accessory for a plastic kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right. It replaces and completes the elements that cannot be produced at a realistic thickness in injection-molded plastic. The set is meant for the Bronco kit.

The set is cut for the Bronco plastic kit of the armored car and assumes that you already have it at home. It is not a model of the vehicle nor a complete kit but a sheet of photo-etched parts from thin metal plate. The exact contents of the sheet are given on the maker's packaging. Hauler is a Czech producer of aftermarket accessories, and its photo-etch is among the well engraved in its class.
The T17E1 Staghound was a heavy armored car with drive to all four wheels, produced in the United States to a British specification. The American army did not take it into service itself; it served British and Allied units. The Mk.I version carried a rotating turret with a 37 mm gun and machine-gun armament, and it was driven by two gasoline engines. It was committed from 1943 among other places in Italy and in northwestern Europe, where its great range suited it to long-range reconnaissance.
Cut the parts off with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out with your fingers. Make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool or between two razor blades, and check the part against the drawing after each bend. A stiff plate can be annealed briefly over a flame, which softens it and makes it shape better. Degrease the metal with spirit before gluing, join with super glue or with solder, and apply a primer for metal straight afterwards, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface and will peel off while handled.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base Bronco kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
