The figure is cast from modeling resin in 1:35 scale and is supplied unpainted. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a figure of its own, which a modeler uses as a figure accessory for a model, as part of a scene, or builds and paints as an object in itself. Resin holds sharper detail than injected plastic, which is why it is used for figures, and the price for that is a more laborious preparation of the casting.
Alternity Miniatures is a brand of original figures and busts which keep outside standard military production and draw on post-apocalyptic and fantasy subjects. The figures have a strong feel for character and tend to be conceived as illustrations, not as a uniformed figure standing to attention. Before buying we recommend comparing the sculpting with the data of the manufacturer; with original figures it is precisely the treatment of the face and the proportions that decide the result.
First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, as mold release agent from the mold stays on the surface and paint does not hold on it. Cut the casting blocks away with a saw or a sharp cutter, never break them off, as on thin parts there is a risk of cracking. Do the sanding wet and with protection of the airways. To join the parts use super glue (cyanoacrylate), since glue for plastic has no effect on resin. Once the base has been sprayed on, work with acrylics or oil paints; build up the skin and the fabrics with gradual glazing, and fine-tune the metal parts with a dry brush or pigments.
The figure is supplied unpainted, as a casting in resin. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
