An accessory for a model in progress of the Soviet BT-7 fast tank in 1:35 scale. It replaces the idler wheel from the kit's sprue and makes more accurate that part of the running gear which is most visible from the side on a finished model. The tank itself is not included: it is a detail part, not a kit of the vehicle.
On the tanks of the BT series the idler wheel sits at the front of the running gear and decides how the track is tensioned and how it runs over the first wheel. It is precisely the outline of this wheel and its lightening holes that decide whether the running gear on a model looks true. In 1:35 scale the part moreover comes into the line of sight, so sharper edges and cleaner recesses pay off.
It will be reached for by modelers who fine-tune the running gear on vehicles and by builders of dioramas where the vehicle is seen from the side at close range. Fitting is simple, so a modeler with basic practice will manage it: it only takes patience during the dry fit.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and is meant for the build of a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
