Responsibility details are not available.
A figure set in 1:35 scale cast in resin, from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is the first volume of the three-part Top Secret series, which works up figures of members of American reconnaissance units from the period of the war in Vietnam. It is not a kit of equipment but an accessory for models and dioramas. The castings are unassembled and unpainted.
What is interesting about this subject for a modeler is the non-standard field dress. The figures do not have the typical uniform of rank-and-file infantry but a combination of a field suit without insignia, a load-bearing harness with pouches and light equipment adapted to long movement in the field. That is precisely why the set is used to bring scenes to life where ordinary figures would look uniform. The castings are supplied as separate parts, that is torso, head, limbs and small kit, which are tried out dry before gluing, so that the pose follows on properly.
Before building, wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces down wet and use respiratory protection while sanding resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not work here. After filling the seams, apply a thin coat of primer. Paint the camouflage pattern in a simplified way in this scale, that is a base tone, then only suggested patches with a fine brush, and finally unify the whole with a thin wash and a dry brush on the edges.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted as resin castings. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
