Responsibility details are not available.
This terrain board from the Black Dog diorama range offers a ready-made section of a setting on which your model gains context. Instead of a bare board with a label, a small scene comes about that holds the viewer's eye for longer than a moment.
Building terrain from scratch means plaster, texture pastes, drying and an uncertain result. A ready base skips that step and lets you concentrate on the more enjoyable part, that is on the painting and on the composition itself. Another advantage is that the scale of the textures already matches the chosen size of the model.
American hardware tends to be single-colored and fairly dark, so it is worth keeping the terrain lighter, so that the silhouette does not get lost. Apply dust and deposits from the bottom upward and with restraint; an overdone patina looks like ash and takes away from the credibility of the scene rather than adding to it.
The base takes one model and a smaller group of figures. Keep to the rule that every added object must have a reason in the scene: a crate by a vehicle wheel, a bag set aside, a track in the dust. Accessories scattered at random break the scene up.
Hardware, figures and painting materials do not come in the package with this base.
