Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth volume of the figure series of American infantry from the manufacturer Bravo 6 in 1:35 scale. According to the name of the set it is a pair of a dog handler and a service dog, that is a subject that appears only rarely in 1:35 scale and catches the eye in a scene immediately. The resin castings are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The dog handler figure is rendered in tropical field dress with a load-bearing harness, and the dog is modeled as a separate casting. It is precisely the animal figure that makes somewhat different demands on a modeler from a uniform, because fur is painted with a different technique from cloth. The composition counts on a mutual tie between the two figures, so it works well as a scene on its own on a small base and as the accompaniment to a patrol by a vehicle. The parts are divided so that the pose can be adjusted a little according to the terrain.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent because of the release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces down wet and wear respiratory protection with resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate super glue, fill the seams with putty and apply a thin primer. Build the uniform up from a base olive tone through a wash into the folds to lightened edges. The dog's fur is rewarding to paint by layering, that is a dark base, gradual lightening with a dry brush in the direction of the fur and finally a matte varnish, leaving only the eyes and the nose slightly glossy.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted as resin castings. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
