A set of two resin figures in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. The subject is the crew of an American tank from the period of the war in Vietnam in an action position at the turret. The castings are supplied unpainted and unassembled and are intended for more experienced modelers.
The figures are designed for open hatches and for the turret machine gun, that is for a dynamic scene around equipment. For a diorama builder it is a practical pair: two different poses create a tie between the figures in the turret and the scene stops looking static. The dress matches a tank crew - a helmet, lightened field clothing without the heavy infantry load - which from a modeling point of view is the main difference against infantry figures.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces down wet with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue, and gel cyanoacrylate or putty will fill the seams. Try the seating in the hatch out dry before painting and deal with any play by packing it out rather than by sanding the figure down. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the uniform from a base tone through shading to a lightening of the edges and finish the faces and the hands off with a brush. Unify the surface with a matte varnish and leave the helmet semi-gloss. Light dust and a deposit on the boots and the trouser legs will tie the figures to the weathering of the model.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
