An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale on a present-day military subject from Master Box. The set captures the American soldiers manning a checkpoint in Iraq. It is meant to be assembled and painted; it is not a vehicle model but a set of figures for dioramas and display scenes.
Checkpoints were a typical feature of the deployment of American units in Iraq after 2003. Soldiers in modern field gear and body armor make a rewarding subject for modelers of present-day military vehicles. The set suits as a companion to models of modern armored vehicles.
This is an injection-molded plastic set to be assembled and painted. Separate the parts from the sprue with sharp side cutters and bond them with thin cement for plastic applied with a brush, which pulls the joints together nicely. A coat of primer before painting is worth it so that the paint holds better. Faces and uniforms stand out once painted and lightly brought out with a wash and dry-brushing; an airbrush and a conventional brush both work. The figures can be used together as a scene or separately in a diorama.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
