The set U.S. Containers and Recipients from the Spanish brand MIG productions brings castings of American shipping containers, crates and vessels in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory: with it you load the bed of a truck, equip the rear area of a field camp or a workshop and give a scene with American equipment a convincing, lived-in look.
Small equipment is the simplest way to give a model a story. You can place the containers and vessels freely around a vehicle, stack them on a bed or make a dump of materiel out of them at the edge of a diorama. The set suits American equipment from the Second World War to more modern periods; we recommend judging the period of the individual pieces against reference photographs of the real equipment.
First wash the parts in warm soapy water to rid them of mold release residue, and carefully cut off and sand any casting blocks. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a thin coat of primer before painting. After that, washes and drybrushing come out, with which you accentuate the edges and the pressed detail; dust pigments complete the weathering according to the setting of the scene.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
