Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds one figure of an American soldier of the Second World War with a guitar in 1:35 scale, cast in modeling resin. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an aftermarket accessory for a diorama or an object on its own for a display case.
The figure captures a soldier in a quiet situation away from combat activity. From a modeling point of view such a figure is valuable for two reasons: a musical instrument in the hands calls for a different carriage of the body from a weapon, so it brings movement and ease into a scene, and at the same time it makes sense of compositions by a vehicle, in a tented camp or on a truck. The uniform matches ordinary field dress, so the figure is easily combined with further sets of the same scale.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, or the primer will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, level the surface and do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Glue the hands and the instrument with cyanoacrylate super glue, and try the assembly out dry first, so that the fingers sit on the neck of the instrument. After a thin primer, paint the uniform with matte acrylics and deal with the wood of the instrument using transparent glazes over a light base, so that the impression of wood is kept; the strings can be suggested with a thin line of a dark shade. Build the face up by layering glazes. Finally unify the surface with a matte varnish and leave the instrument in a fine semi-matte.
The set is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin casting. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
