Hauler 1:35 American carrier pigeons is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale, not a kit. The small castings bring into a scene the theme of the signal service, which used carrier pigeons to carry messages.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:35 scale is meant for a diorama or a display case; it is not a kit of a vehicle nor a figure of a combatant. It is precisely such small things that make a scene a piece of storytelling: the viewer stops at them, because they carry a story that equipment alone cannot bear. A combination with a vehicle, a table or a transport crate creates a corner that looks as though something is going on in it.
As late as the 1940s the carrier pigeon was an entirely ordinary means of communication where the wire or the radio set had failed. The US Army Signal Corps carried them in baskets and cages, released them from forward places, and the birds bore a message on thin paper back to the rear. Pigeons thus belonged to the equipment that a present-day look at military hardware often overlooks, even though they appeared at the front and in the rear alike.
Separate the small castings carefully from the casting blocks, sand the cut over and wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no mold release agent stays on the surface. A thin primer follows, best a light gray one. Feathers are painted in layers: first a middle gray tone, then a darker shadow into the hollows with thinned paint and finally drybrushing on the back and the wings. Suggest the metallic sheen on the neck with only the slightest touch of green and violet, or it will make an unnatural impression. Paint the baskets and the wooden elements separately, so that the contrast of the materials stays, and finally unify the whole group with a matte varnish and fine dust on the lower edges. Set the accessory into the base so that it stands firmly and does not float on the surface, ideally sunk slightly into the structure of the terrain.
This is a diorama accessory, not a kit. The base, glue and paints are not included in the package.
