A single figure from the modern Black Dog line, tied thematically to the M1070 tractor. That vehicle belongs among the heavy transporters: coupled to the M1000 semi-trailer it serves to recover and move armored hardware by road, so that tracked vehicles are not needlessly worn out on long journeys. Models of this tractor exist in 1:35 scale, but a crew for them is usually missing.
The empty cab of a heavy truck is very conspicuous on a model, because it is tall and glazed on every side. A driver figure fills it and at the same time gives the viewer the sense of scale the tractor on its own lacks. The scene does not have to be complicated: a halt at a checkpoint, waiting for hardware to be loaded or a break on the shoulder are all understood immediately.
If you seat the figure in the cab, the viewer will see only its upper half, and that through glass. Divide the work according to what will be visible, then: paint the face, the hands and the upper part of the clothing carefully, while the lower areas only need suggesting. Keep the dust on the driver lighter than on the rest of the scene, because inside a cab a person hardly touches the dusty hardware.
