A US Marine Corps tanker outside his vehicle in 1:35 scale. PANZER ART, the first serial number of the sub-line.
Responsibility details are not available.
This PANZER ART figure item captures a member of the crew of a US Marine Corps tank in a situation outside the vehicle. It has the serial number one in its name. The item is intended for 1:35 scale and is meant as an accompaniment to a model of armored equipment or to a diorama, not as a model on its own.
In Pacific operations the US Marine Corps used medium tanks, which advanced in close cooperation with infantry squads. Island terrain with dense vegetation and growth that gave no view meant that the crews often found themselves in situations at very short range and had to rely on the soldiers around them. The theme of this whole sub-line comes from there.
The clothing of the crews tended to be in muted green-brown tones; unify them with the coloring of the tank, so that the figure and the equipment hold together. Apply to the high footwear and the bottom of the trouser legs a dusting matching the base of the scene. Do not mix the skin too pink; in a small scale a warm, slightly tanned tone with a fine shadow under the chin and in the eye sockets looks better. Tone the metal parts of the gear down with a dark glaze, as bare shine on a figure in this scale quickly looks like a toy.
