Figures of German Waffen-SS grenadiers in 1:35 scale from Evolution Miniatures. Resin castings for dioramas from the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure set in 1:35 scale showing German grenadiers, that is the infantry accompanying armored vehicles, from the period of the Second World War. The castings of gray modeling resin are supplied unpainted, unassembled and with casting blocks. The abbreviation in the name refers to the specific Waffen-SS unit to which the figures shown are related.
Grenadiers were infantry units intended to work together with tank and mechanized formations. Their equipment consisted of a field jacket, a helmet or a field cap, webbing with magazine pouches, a water bottle, a bread bag (haversack) and a personal weapon. With Waffen-SS units camouflaged jackets and helmet covers with a printed pattern that changed in the course of the war appear often. It is precisely the camouflage pattern that is the most demanding and at the same time the most interesting part of the painting for a modeler.
Before building, wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces wet with respiratory protection. Join with cyanoacrylate glue and fill the gaps. Paint the camouflage pattern with a brush in layers: the base tone, the larger patches, the small dots and finally a fine highlight of the raised places. Paint the webbing and the leather parts in a shade with a different gloss from the fabric. Build the faces from a mid skin tone through the shadows to the lightest areas and finally even everything out with a matte clear coat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
