A resin figure in 1:35 for a diorama or for a scene with a vehicle. It is not a kit of equipment. The role of the figure follows from the name: he carries ammunition, so he works as part of a pair with the crew of the weapon. The manufacturer also makes a gunner figure and a joint set of the same subject.
Carrying a load determines the whole posture. One shoulder is pulled down, the torso leans to the opposite side and the walk is loaded. For a modeler that means two things: the figure has to stand truly upright on a base, or it looks as though it is falling, and the boxes for the ammunition belts are a full job of their own. They are painted as a metal object, not as part of the uniform: a dark base, fine wear on the edges, and where appropriate a hint of rubbed paint in the places where the load would chafe against the clothing. The contrast between matte fabric and semi-matte metal gives the figure depth.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off, sand the surfaces, fill the gaps, glue with cyanoacrylate glue. On a figure with carried objects, paint the load separately while it is accessible and only then glue it to the figure. Build the uniform from a flat base, let a wash into the folds and pull the edges out with a dry brush. Bring the metal surfaces of the boxes out with a fine dry brush in a dark steel color, not silver; over-lit metal in 1:35 reads like a toy. Leave the hands and the face for last. Finish with a matte clear coat and go over the metal with a semi-matte one if you want, so that it is set apart.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The paints, the glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
