This resin figure in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART captures the commander of a German Waffen-SS tank in a pose suited to a model of the Tiger heavy tank. It is a stand-alone figure for bringing a model or a Second World War diorama to life. It is supplied as a resin kit, unassembled and unpainted, for more experienced modelers.
Commanders of German tanks were usually shown leaning out of the commander's cupola, which gives the figure its characteristic dynamic pose. The uniform and the cap match a member of the Waffen-SS; the pose is designed to sit naturally in the open commander's hatch of a heavy tank.
Wash the mold release residue off the figure, cut off the casting blocks and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply a filler primer before painting; German tank uniforms are painted in dark tones, and the camouflage patterns and the detail of the face are then brought out with glazes and fine washes.
The figure is supplied as a resin kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the tank model are not included in the package.
