1:35 Wolfland 6 - U.S.A.

Wolfland 6 - U.S.A. in 1:35 scale from Alternity Miniatures

An item from the extensive original Wolfland series, which Alternity Miniatures develops across figures and diorama accessories alike. It is a figure in 1:35 scale, supplied as a resin casting to be assembled and painted. The series shares a common artistic key, so the individual pieces go well together in one scene.

What to expect from the series

Wolfland builds on a rough, civilian world in which details such as worn clothing, home-made accessories or signs give a scene its character. Check the contents of the package once it is open.

Building and painting tips

First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry, so that no mold release agent stays on the surface. Cut the casting blocks away with a saw, level the cut surfaces with a file and sand them over wet, with protection of the airways. Try the fitting together dry, then glue the joints with super glue and fill and sand any gaps. A thin primer unifies the surface and reveals the remaining unevenness. Lead the painting from the face and the hands, as those decide the overall impression, and go on with the clothing. Choose a limited earthy palette and build the contrast on lightness rather than on variety. A wash into the folds will bring out the articulation, and a gentle dry brush will draw out the edges. Weathering suits the Wolfland series, so pigments on the footwear and the lower areas of the clothing, a discreet metallic rub on the edges of the metal elements and matte varnish at the end.
