1:35 British period posters of the Second World War, 24 pieces are printed paper sheets with miniature posters for a diorama in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory is a printed paper sheet, not a resin casting. According to the name it carries 24 scaled-down posters whose motifs are based on British period propaganda posters of the Second World War. The sheet is used for finishing a diorama in 1:35 scale: the posters are cut out and stuck onto walls, fences, posts or notice boards. None of the cutting of sprue gates, sanding or filling takes place here.
British scenes from the home front and from the rear areas of fighting units differ from continental scenes precisely in the small things in the background. A poster stuck on a brick wall or on a wooden crate tells the viewer the country and the period faster than a label under the model. At the same time it adds color to an otherwise gray area and breaks up the monotony of large walls. Twenty-four pieces on the sheet are usually enough for several scenes.
Cut them with a scalpel with a fresh blade against a metal ruler; scissors are imprecise at a small size. They are stuck down with thinned PVA glue applied in a thin layer: press the paper on through a piece of paper towel with your finger and push the air out. On a rough surface, for example plaster or brick, moisten the paper lightly first so that it softens and takes the shape of the ground. So that the poster does not look like a fresh print, tear a corner, leave a bit lifted or go over the area with a very light wash. A matte coat at the end evens the sheen of the paper out with the rest of the scene.
