A replica of the canvas cover of the main gun for a model of the German Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär assault gun in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmpanzer IV, known by the nickname Brummbär, was a German assault gun of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In its boxy superstructure it carried a heavy 15 cm howitzer and served for direct fire against fortified targets. On the real vehicle the gun mounting was covered with a canvas cover, which protected the moving parts from dust and rain.
The accessory replaces the canvas cover of the main gun in 1:35 scale. Compared with the part from the kit it has softer and more natural folds, which give the otherwise stark front wall of the superstructure a livelier look. The kit it is meant for and the fitting procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The part is not polystyrene, so plastic cement has no effect on it; use super glue. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down so that the cover seats on the superstructure without a gap. Test it dry before fitting, as parts of this kind usually need a small adjustment. Wash and degrease before painting and apply a primer. Canvas is usually painted in a different shade from the surrounding metal, and its folds come out when you bring them up with a darker glaze and a dry brush.
For a builder of German vehicles who wants to add a visible detail to the model with a minimum of work.
The package contains the stated accessory only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
