A photo-etched set for a model of the German Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J was the last and most numerously built version of the German medium Panzer IV. It was produced at the close of the war, when production was being simplified: auxiliary drives disappeared, the shape of the side covers changed and features were added that could be made quickly. It is precisely on this version that the thin sheet-metal parts are most visible, and a plastic kit manages them only in a crude form.
This is a photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for a model of the Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J. Being placed in the photo-etched branch shows that the elements are made by etching, so they are markedly thinner than plastic parts and match the scale better. The extent of the set and the kit it is intended for are given in the manufacturer's instructions; before ordering, therefore, check that the set fits the model you are building.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a firm surface and sand the remaining tab back. Run the bends along the marked score line over a sharp edge or in a bender, slowly and in one movement. Cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small quantity, ideally with the tip of a wire, suits the joints. Degrease the parts before painting and go over them with a base coat. If you are going to suggest bent sheet, do it sparingly: photo-etched material bends easily and exaggerated crumpling looks unnatural on a model.
The set suits modelers of German Second World War equipment who already have experience of working with photo-etched parts. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
