The photo-etched set serves to refine the detail of a plastic model of the Japanese submarine I-37 in 1:350 scale. It is not a submarine model in its own right but an accessory in etched metal which replaces or completes fine elements such as railings, gratings, ladders and other small structures on the conning tower and the deck.
The I-37 was a large Japanese ocean-going submarine committed in the Second World War. On a model in this scale, thin metal structures can be captured more faithfully with photo-etched parts than with injection-molded plastic.
Separate the parts from the fret carefully, form the bends with a bending tool or a ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease them before painting and apply primer.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
