A 1:350 wooden deck for the battlecruiser IJN Kongo from Artwox Model is an adhesive veneer set that replaces the engraved plastic deck of the kit. The veneer is cut to the outline of the decks of the Fujimi 60000 kit.

This is not a model of the ship but an accessory for a kit. The thin wood veneer with pre-printed laying of the deck planks has an adhesive backing and is glued straight onto the plastic deck. The set is cut to the outline of the Fujimi 60000 kit, so check the match before you buy.
An adhesive backing is convenient, but it forgives only once. Never pull the protective film off the whole piece at once. Expose only a few centimeters at one end first, line the piece up exactly by the outline of the hull and the openings, press it down and only then unwind the film further under the veneer. While only a small area is exposed, the deck can be lifted and moved. Hold the film by its edge, not by the veneer, and never fold it over a sharp edge, because the wood is damaged at the fold. Leave the film on the pieces you will glue later; it protects them from dust and from the grease on your hands.
Once it is pressed down, run the edge of a fingernail or a wooden toothpick along the edges so that they sit. Trim overhangs with a fresh blade. The shade can be tuned with thinned wood stain and the surface finally sealed with matte varnish, which at the same time protects the wood during the later steps of the build.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
