OS2U Kingfisher 1:350 (Trumpeter) is a set of small observation floatplanes in 1:350 scale for populating a warship model. The box holds six models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds six miniature injection-molded models of the OS2U Kingfisher observation floatplane in 1:350 scale. It serves as an accessory to a model of an American battleship or cruiser - you can place the aircraft on the catapult or on the deck. Decals with US Navy markings are included.
The Vought OS2U Kingfisher was a single-engine cantilever low-wing monoplane with a large central float, the main observation and reconnaissance aircraft of the US Navy during the Second World War. It was launched by catapult from battleships and cruisers and landed on the water; it was also used for search and rescue at sea.
The float and the struts are small in this scale, so work with tweezers and liquid cement for plastic. For the period finish, the blue-gray camouflage schemes of the US Navy work well. It is practical to paint the models while still on the sprue and to place them on the ship only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
