Mirage 1:350 U-176 is a plastic kit of the German ocean-going Type IXC submarine U-176 of the Second World War in 1:350 scale from Mirage Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Mirage Hobby captures the German long-range ocean-going Type IXC submarine U-176 in 1:350 scale. The model is built as a full-hull replica and a stand is usually supplied with the base. The package tends to be complemented by photo-etched parts for fine detail and a smaller sheet of decals. The conning tower matches the configuration of the relevant sub-variant.
The Type IXC was a large German ocean-going submarine designed for long war patrols at great distances; compared with the base Type IX it had a larger fuel capacity. U-176 was built in the early 1940s and operated in the Atlantic as part of the German submarine arm in the Second World War. These boats made long patrols far from their home bases.
Glue the halves of the hull with liquid cement for plastic and sand the parting line on the keel and the deck. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and fit the fine detail of the conning tower with care. Spray the gray shades with an airbrush, apply the decals onto a smooth surface and even the whole thing out with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
