1:350 USS BB-63 Missouri is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard for the plastic kit of the American battleship USS Missouri in 1:350 scale. It is an accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set is a detailing accessory, not a standalone model. It holds accurately etched brass parts for improving the plastic kit of the battleship USS Missouri in 1:350 scale. It typically brings fine railings, ladders, radar grilles, details of the superstructures, the boats and the antiaircraft armament, which plastic cannot capture faithfully.
USS Missouri (BB-63) was an American battleship of the Iowa class. She became famous for the Japanese surrender that ended the Second World War being signed on her deck in September 1945. After modernizations she served in later conflicts as well. She was marked by main-caliber artillery in massive rotating turrets and by a long, slender hull.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret and bend them on a firm surface, ideally with a photo-etch bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. Paint the railings only once they are glued in place, best of all with an airbrush in the shade of the hull and the superstructures.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
