Eduard 1:350 USS Nimitz CVN-68 PART II is a photo-etched detail set, that is an accessory for refining a plastic model of the aircraft carrier, not the model itself.

This is NOT a model of the ship but a set of photo-etched stainless steel parts meant for detailing a plastic kit of the American aircraft carrier USS Nimitz CVN-68 in 1:350 scale. The set follows on from the first part and adds further fine elements that cannot be made in molded plastic. The base plastic model is not included in the package.
Photo-etched parts in thin stainless sheet replace the coarser plastic parts with more faithful equivalents. Typically these are railings, walkways, ladders, fine brackets and other details of the superstructure and the deck. The parts are bent and bonded with super glue, and the result is a markedly finer and more realistic model.
Separate the parts on a hard surface with a sharp knife, bend them with a folding tool or between two rules and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend degreasing the photo-etched sheet before painting and priming it beforehand, so that the paint holds well.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
